I just have to tell you, I love the concept here. I think you can really expand upon this. What if you diversified your characters? What if you had a terrorist and his victim(s), or a megalomaniac leader and a starving subject of his rule? The possibilities are quite extensive. Using this concept you can put people together who would never have had a chance in life to calmly discuss their lives now that they are over.
